Robot of the Day: Inktober 27
While the showers were short-lived, they were intense, brutal affairs. Conformal coatings on vital components offered excellent protection but the best line of defense was a long coat or poncho. (And a can of Water Displacer-Formula 40 was good to have, just in case.)

What are you going to do?” I thought a moment. “Stay home,” I said. “Read a book; draw pictures of you and your friends.

The robot wandered through various streets and alleys, a destination unmapped. Upon encountering a puddle it stopped, and for a few minutes contemplated the Mirror World in its rippling surface.

The rain that evening was a slow, greasy affair, drooling down from a sky stained orange oxide by the setting sun.

“Please draw something ‘gloomy.’” After a while I turned my sketchbook around, “How about this? Although I prefer to think of this as ‘atmospheric.’” The robot considered this for a moment. “The precipitation is simply thicker atmosphere and has no practical effect.” I countered “What if you have a defective seal?” The robot just stood there, offering no reply.
